From aswfc at bom.gov.au Wed Apr 1 10:21:55 2026 From: aswfc at bom.gov.au (Australian Space Weather Forecasting Centre) Date: Wed, 01 Apr 2026 10:21:55 +1100 Subject: [ips-sf] ASWFC Summary Forecast for 01 April - issued 2321UT/31-Mar-2026 [SEC=OFFICIAL] Message-ID: <69cc5713.TA9jUZ0Ud9QqKMeZ%aswfc@bom.gov.au> On UT day 01-Apr solar flare activity is expected to be R1-R2. The solar wind speed is expected to be moderate to very strong. G2-G3 geomagnetic conditions are expected due to the arrival of a CME. This was estimated to arrive at approximately 31/1600UT +/- 10 hours, but has yet to do so. Arrival is now expected during the 01-Apr. HF radio propagation conditions are expected to be poor, as ionospheric disturbances begin following the arrival of the CME. Maximum usable frequencies in the Australian region are expected to be up to 30% depressed. S0 solar radiation storm conditions are expected. Isolated fadeouts are possible, due to flaring activity.
