[ips-sf] ASWFC Summary Forecast for 27 December - issued 0440UT/27-Dec-2025 [SEC=OFFICIAL]

[Australian Space Weather Forecasting Centre]

On UT day 27-Dec solar activity is expected to be R1, chance R2. A
short duration R2 M5.1 flare was observed from a new small emerging
solar region and further flare activity may follow if this region
continues to develop. S0 solar radiation storm conditions are
expected. The solar wind speed is expected to be moderate. Geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be G0. HF radio propagation conditions are
expected to be normal. Maximum usable frequencies in the Australian
region are expected to be near predicted values to 15% enhanced. A
shortwave fadeout was observed in the Australian region in association
with the R2 flare. Further isolated fadeouts are possible.
