A solar region located near the centre of the solar disk has produced
an R3 X1.1 flare at 14/0640UT. The immediate impact is to HFCOM with a
fadeout observed in the western Australian region impacting lower
HFCOM frequencies. Solar activity on UT day 14-Aug is expected to be
at R1, chance R2 levels. The solar wind is expected to be light. G0
geomagnetic conditions are expected. S0 solar radiation storm
conditions are expected. HF radio communication conditions are
expected to be normal with maximum usable frequencies (MUFs) near to
15% above predicted monthly values. Isolated shortwave fadeouts are
possible.
