Mon Mar 22 10:45:45 EST 2021
Very low solar activity is expected today on 22 March with a small
chance of a C-class flare. The earth is currently under the influence
of strongly elevated solar wind speed associated with a negative
polarity southern hemisphere coronal hole. Geomagnetic conditions are
expected to be at quiet to active levels with a chance of an isolated
minor storm period. Mild to moderate MUF depressions are possible
today. No short-wave fadeouts expected. There is a chance of auroral
sightings in Tasmania tonight if the IMF north-south component (Bz)
sustains southwards orientation for a longe period.
