Very low solar activity is expected for UT day 2 January. The solar
wind speed is expected to be near its nominal levels. Geomagnetic
activity in the Australian region is expected to be at quiet levels.
High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use lower than
the predicted monthly frequencies because moderate ionospheric
depressions are possible due to relatively low levels of ionising
radiation from the Sun.
