Very low solar activity is expected for the next UT day, 4 November.
The solar wind is expected to be mostly near its nominal levels at the
beginning of the UT day, then the speed will increase because of the
arrival of high speed solar wind streams associated with a large
recurrent trans-equatorial coronal hole. This coronal hole produced
solar winds reaching 650 km/s at the location of STEREO-A. Similar
speeds are expected at Earth. Geomagnetic activity in the Australian
region is expected to be initially at quiet level and then increase to
active and at times to minor storm levels in response to the coronal
hole effects. High-frequency radio communication users are advised to
use near predicted monthly frequencies.
