Very low solar activity is expected for today, 19 April. The solar
wind speed is currently at background levels but is expected to become
enhanced, either late today or early tomorrow, in response to the
arrival of effects from a recurrent coronal hole. The geomagnetic
activity is expected to be mostly at quiet levels across the
Australian region, with possible unsettled to active conditions later
in the day. High-frequency radio communication users are advised to
use near predicted monthly frequencies.
