Very low levels of solar activity are expected for today, 9 November.
The solar wind speed is strong in response to the effects associated
with the recurrent coronal hole. The geomagnetic conditions are
expected to reach minor to major storm levels. High-frequency radio
communications conditions degraded to fair to poor levels due to the
increased geomagnetic activity. Moderately depressed MUFs are expected
to occur, especially at high latitudes. Aurora sightings are possible
from the southern Australian regions should IMF Bz maintain strongly
southward for a prolonged period.
