Very low to low solar flare activity is expected with a chance for
M-class flares to be produced by the region 2651 near the limb. On 18
April this region produced a long duration C5.5 flare. This flare was
accompanied by a CME, which was first visible in LASCO imagery at 1948
UT on 18 April. This CME is not expected to be geoeffective. However,
a shock wave associated with it may "touch" the Earth magnetosphere on
21 April. Moderate solar wind speed due to the coronal hole effect.
Geomagnetic conditions may reach active levels. Near predicted MUFs to
moderately depressed MUFs are expected. Short-wave radio fadeouts
possible.
