Very low solar flare activity, light solar wind, quiet geomagnetic
conditions, and mostly normal HF conditions are expected in the
Australian region for 7 November. A filament has lifted off by 5
November/0400 UT in the northwest quadrant on the Sun; it is
associated with a CME detected in SOHO/LASCO imagery after 0448 UT on
5 November. The analysis shows that this CME is likely to become
geoeffective on 8 November. The CME arrival at Earth may cause a
geomagnetic storm and in this case aurora is likely to be observed at
high latitudes.
