Solar activity on UT day 10 June was at low levels, with no notable
C-class flares. Similar solar conditions are expected today 11 June.
The anticipated corotating interacting region (CIR) and the subsequent
high speed solar wind streams (HSS) associated with a large Northern
Hemisphere coronal hole arrived at 10/0800 UT and 10/1900 UT,
respectively. As the result, the solar wind speed increased from 350
km/s to 450 km/s. The solar winds are expected to further enhance
today in response to the passing coronal hole. The geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be mostly at active levels and at times
reaching minor storm levels in response to the coronal hole effects.
High-frequency radio communication conditions over the Australian
regions are expected to be slightly depressed to near monthly
predicted levels today.
