Sun Jul 3 09:39:55 EST 2016
Very low solar flare activity. The anticipated corotating interacting
region (CIR) associated with an equatorial coronal hole arrived late
UT day, 02 Jul. As the result, the solar wind speed increased from 340
km/s to 450 km/s. The solar winds are expected to further enhance
today in response to the passing coronal hole. The geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be at Quiet to Active levels and at times
reaching Minor Storm levels in response to the coronal hole effects.
Expect MUFs depressions and degradation in HF conditions today. There
is chance that aurora may be visible tonight from high magnetic
latitude regions of Australia, should favourable viewing conditions
exist.
