Solar flare activity was very low during 11 Jan UT and it is expected
to remain very low to low during the next 2 days. H alpha solar
telescope images show a large filament has rotated into view in the
north east quadrant. There are no Earthward directed CMEs. Fast solar
wind arrived at Earth during 11 Jan and is expected to drive unsettled
to active geomagnetic conditions during 12-13 Jan. A minor geomagnetic
storm is possible (Kp=5). Conditions for HF radio wave propagation are
expected to weaken today due to increased geomagnetic activity.
