Solar activity was very low to low during 25 Jan UT. Two low level C
class solar flares were observed during the previous 24 hours. All
solar active regions are fairly stable at present. Further low level C
class flares are probable today. A series of bright CMEs was ejected
from the Sun during the previous 24 hours, but none of them are
Earthward directed. The prominent H alpha solar filament rotating
toward the western limb has been active but remains attached to the
Sun. The solar wind speed has been light in the range 350-400 km/s.
Geomagnetic activity has been quiet and is expected to remain quiet
during the next 48 hours. HF radio propagation conditions in the
Australian region are expected to be enhanced to strongly enhanced
today.
