Low to moderate solar flare activity due to active region 1944. The
solar wind is strong, however is expected to slowly decline over the
next several days as coronal hole rotates towards the west limb.
Geomagnetic conditions were at Quiet to Unsettled levels yesterday and
are expected to return to mostly Quiet today. Short-wave radio
fadeouts possible due to active region 1944. High-frequency radio
communications normal to enhanced. Learmonth Solar Observatory
reported a 18 degree erupting filament in the northeast quadrant of
the Sun, also visible as a coronal mass ejection in satellite imagery,
however is not expect to effect the Earth.
