Solar flare activity is low with low to moderate activity expected in
the next few days. The solar wind speed is light however the magnetic
field carried within it has been aligned favourably for coupling with
the Earth's magnetic field leading to Unsettled geomagnetic activity.
The edge of a coronal mass ejection is expected to strike the Earth
sometime on September 3, causing Active geomagnetic conditions with a
chance of Minor Storm periods. This activity may cause some reduction
in the maximum useable frequency for high-frequency radio
communication over the next few days.
