A long duration X-ray flare caused spectacular eruption of plasma from
the Sun. Most of this material appears to be directed away from the
Earth however the edge of the ejected cloud may strike the Earth
sometime on the 3rd of September. If this strike occurs unsettled to
active geomagnetic disturbance is expected leading to some reduction
in the maximum useable frequency for high frequency radio
communication. On present analysis these effects are expected to be
relatively mild. Geomagnetic and HF radio conditions are otherwise
normal.
