[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 30 November - issued 0109UT/30-Nov-2012

rwc at ips.gov.au
Fri Nov 30 12:09:09 EST 2012
Low to moderate solar flare activity. A coronal mass ejection that
occurred on 27 Nov is expected to elevate the solar wind speed
sometime in the latter half of 30 Nov. This elevated wind speed is
expected to cause some unsettled and possibly active geomagnetic
activity and consequently cause slightly disturbed conditions for
high-frequency radio communication but probably not enough for aurora
sightings in Australia. Short-wave radio fadeouts possible.
