The Sun has become very quiet over the last week with only a few small
sunspot groups present. No significant solar flares are expected over
the next few days. The Geomagnetic field is Quiet with no disturbances
expected. The low levels of ionising ultra violet radiation from the
Sun means the ionosphere is weak leading to significantly reduced
maximum useable frequencies for high-frequency radio operators. IPS HF
Communications Warning 23 was issued on 24 June and is current for
25-26 June.
