Solar flare activity is Moderate. The solar wind speed has increased
to very strong levels around 700km/s. This is due to the presence of a
solar coronal hole which emit a much higher solar wind speed that the
normal solar surface. The high wind speed and orientation of its
magnetic field have caused Unsettled to Active levels of geomagnetic
disturbance. High solar wind speeds and Unsettled to Active
geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 2 days. High
frequency communication conditions are near normal with some chance of
minor radio blackouts due to solar flares.
