SUBJ: SWS HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 21/14
ISSUED AT 2340UT/12 MAY 2021
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.
On UT day 12 May Earth was impacted by a CME associated with
a DSF causing major storms (G3). In the Australian region, MUFs
on UT day 13 May are expected to be mostly near predicted monthly
values during the local day, with some mild to moderate depressions
expected during the local night. The forecast depressions are
in response to the observed disturbed conditions. On the 14 May
MUFs will initially be depressed but then recover late in the
day. However in the Northern Hemisphere the HF depressions are
expected to be more prominent and may last for a few days (13-15
May).
