SUBJ: SWS HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 17/17
ISSUED AT 0001UT/02 MARCH 2017
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.
The Earth's ionosphere is currently under the influence of the
very strong solar wind stream associated with a recurrent coronal
hole. The HF depressions are currently experienced in Southern
Australian Region. Over the next two days (2-3 March) minor to
moderate depressions are expected to extend to lower latitudes
and into Antarctic Region. HF users are advised to use lower
than the monthly predicted frequencies for the next two days
(2-3 March).
