SUBJ: SWS HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 17/02
ISSUED AT 0031UT/06 JANUARY 2017
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.
The Earth's ionosphere is currently under the influence of disturbed
solar winds associated with a recurrent coronal hole. The HF
depressions are currently been experienced in the high latitude
regions mostly in the Southern hemisphere. Over the next two
days (6-7 January), the high latitude depressions are expected
to extend into the low latitude regions. This effect is expected
to be more prominent in the Southern hemisphere. HF users are
advised to use lower than the monthly predicted frequencies for
the next three days (6-8 January).
