SUBJ: SWS HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 16/42
ISSUED AT 0019UT/29 SEPTEMBER 2016
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.
The geomagnetic conditions are expected to vary between active
levels to major storms for the next three days. This is because
the solar winds are expected to be in excess of 600 km/s associated
with a very large positive polarity coronal hole. Strong HF depressions
are expected in the mid and high latitude regions of both the
hemispheres. Near monthly predicted HF conditions are expected
in the equatorial regions. HF users are advised to selected lower
than usual frequencies.
