SUBJ: SWS HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 16/27
ISSUED AT 0053UT/11 JUNE 2016
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.
The earth is beginning to experience high speed streams (HSS)
from a large Northern Hemisphere coronal hole. The geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be mostly at active levels and at
times possibly reaching minor storm levels on June 11 - 12. Slightly
improved MUFs are expected today, June 11, around the onset of
the anticipated storm conditions. However, on 12-13 June HF conditions
expected to degrade slightly in mid and high latitude regions
of Australia. Note, stronger degradations are expected in the
Northern Hemisphere regions compared to the Southern Hemisphere
regions during this time of the year.
