SUBJ: IPS HF RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WARNING 03/85
ISSUED AT 09/2217Z NOVEMBER 2003
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.
THE EARTH HAS APPEARED TO HAVE ENTERED A CORONAL HOLE
HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM IN PAST 24 HOURS. GEOMAGNETIC
ACTIVITY OBSERVED OVERNIGHT.
DEPRESSED AND DEGRADED HF PROPAGATION CONDITIONS EXPECTED
FOR 10-11 NOVEMBER 2003 SOUTHERN AUS/NZ REGION ONLY.
SOUTHERN AUS/NZ COMMUNICATORS MAY EXPERIENCE EXTENDED
PERIOD (POSSIBLY UP TO 18 NOV) OF LOWER THAN NORMAL MUFS,
PARTICULARLY AFTER LOCAL DAWN.
MUFS NORTH OF TOWNSVILLE ARE PRESENTLY NEAR PREDICTED
MONTHLY VALUES.
IF COMMS DIFFICULTIES EXPERIENCED TRY A LOWER FREQUENCY BAND.
