SUBJ: ASWFC GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 23/22
ISSUED AT 0542UT/05 MAY 2023
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE WEATHER FORECASTING CENTRE.

A partial halo CME observed at 4/1048UT in coronagraph imagery 
may have a geoeffective component with an expected impact at 
6/0600UT +/- 12 hours, although this event is difficult to differentiate 
from other CME activity around the same time. This possible impact, 
combined with anticipated high speed wind stream effects from 
an equatorial coronal hole and a coronal hole in the southern 
hemisphere suggests a chance of geomagnetic storming on 6-7 May.
