SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 21/08
ISSUED AT 2310UT/28 FEBRUARY 2021
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A Southern Polar coronal hole with extension in low latitudes 
is expected to reach a geoeffective location on the solar disk 
on UT day 1 March. Geomagnetic activity is expected to reach 
active levels with possible minor storm periods. Aurora may be 
visible on the local night of 1 March from Tasmania.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED 
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
