SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 17/01
ISSUED AT 0013UT/04 JANUARY 2017
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A recurrent equatorial coronal hole will soon reach the geoeffective 
location on the solar disk. The corotating interaction region 
and subsequent high speed streams associated with the coronal 
hole are expected to affect Earth from 4 January. Auroras may 
be visible on the local nights of 4 and 5 January in Tasmania 
and possibly from the coastline of Victoria.
