SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 15/38
ISSUED AT 0202UT/01 SEPTEMBER 2015
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

The two day outlook is geomagnetic conditions will be mostly
unsettled and at times could reach to minor storms levels in
the high latitude regions. Minor storm levels on 1 and 2 Sep
are forecasted due to a positive polarity equatorial coronal
hole taking a geoeffective position on solar disk. The subsequent
high speed solar winds emanating from the coronal hole and provided
Bz is southwards for prolonged periods could lead to possible
active geomagnetic conditions. The aurora may be visible at the
local night time from Tasmania and other southern most regions
of Australia.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
FROM 01-02 SEPTEMBER 2015
