SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 15/33
ISSUED AT 2245UT/15 AUGUST 2015
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A partial halo CME observed in LASCO C2 imagery at 14:48 UT on 
12 August associated with the long duration B7.0 flare and the 
filament eruption from the southwest quadrant arrived early and 
resulted in periods of Active to Minor Storm levels in the Australian 
region and isolated period of Major Storm levels in the Antarctic 
region.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY  
DUE TO CORONAL MASS EJECTION
