SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 12/05
ISSUED AT 10/2243Z MARCH 2012
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

Active solar region 1429 produced an M6 level flare at 09/0353UT 
and an M8 level flare at 10/1944UT. Both flares had associated 
Coronal Mass Ejections (CME) which appear Earth-directed. The 
first is expected to become geoeffective around mid-UT day Mar 
11, and the second either late-UT day Mar 11 or early Mar 12. 
Minor to Major Geomagnetic Storm periods expected with possible 
Severe Storm intervals at mid to high latitudes.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED 
DUE TO CORONAL MASS EJECTION
