SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 06/09
ISSUED AT 28/0451Z JULY 2006
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

Since the Daily Report issue at 2355UT the solar wind speed
has jumped to 700km/sec with a marked mid-latitude ground 
magnetometer response and IMF Bz has continued southwards.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
AND EXTENDED IMF Bz SOUTHWARDS COUPLED WITH 
PREVIOUS A WEAK SHOCK FOR 28 JULY 2006
