SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 05/24
ISSUED AT 24/0003Z JUNE 2005
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

The geomagnetic activity got enhanced to higher than 
anticipated levels (upto minor storm and isolated major 
storm levels) on 23 June due to an earlier than expected 
start of a coronal hole effect and sustained periods of 
negative Bz. The geomagnetic activity is expected to 
remain enhanced during the next three days due to this 
continued effect of the coronal hole. 


INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
FROM 24-26 JUNE 2005
