SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 04/03
ISSUED AT 07/0313Z JANUARY 2004
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A glancing blow from the CME observed on 05 January
alongwith the currently going on coronal hole effect
are keeping the solar wind stream strengthened. The 
effect of the coronal hole is expected to continue for 
approximately two more days. The geomagnetic activity 
may therefore be expected to  remain enhanced on 08 
and 09 January. 

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
FROM 08-09 JANUARY 2004
