SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 03/37
ISSUED AT 18/0043Z AUGUST 2003
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED FOR 18 AUGUST 2003
DUE TO CME OF UNKNOWN SOLAR ORIGIN.
A shock was observed in the solar wind at 1342UT on 17 August,
which was followed by periods of active to minor storm levels
of geomagnetic activity. Further active and isolated minor
storm periods are expected for 18 August.
