SUBJ: IPS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 01/01
ISSUED AT 20/2234Z JANUARY 2001
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

Region 9131 recently produced a series of
M class flares with associated CMEs/type II
sweeps; the most recent one, a M7.6 flare
peaking at 2119UT on 20 JAN, was accompagnied
by a full halo CME. 

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED
FROM 22-24 JANUARY 2001
