ISSUED AT 2339 UT ON 01 Jan 2026
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE WEATHER FORECASTING CENTRE

A coronal mass ejection is expected to indirectly impact the Earth
within the next 48 hours, possibly resulting in G2 geomagnetic
activity and visible auroras during local nighttime hours for the far
southern Australian region. Aurora alerts will follow if significant
geomagnetic activity actually occurs.
