SUBJ: SWS AURORA OUTLOOK
ISSUED AT 0251 UT ON 31 Jan 2022 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

AR2936 produced a long duration M1 flare, which triggered a halo
CME. The CME is expected to arrive at Earth from late on 1-February to
mid 2-February.
As a result, the geomagnetic conditions are expected to reach major
storm levels. On
the local night of 02 February, aurora may be visible from Tasmania
and the southern mainland coastal
areas.
