FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

Effects of a large equatorial located negative-polarity coronal hole
are expected to impact the Earth within the next 24-48 hours, possibly
resulting in significant geomagnetic activity and visible auroras for
TAS and Southern-most regions of VIC during local nighttime hours
(should favourable viewing conditions eventuate). Aurora alerts will
follow if significant geomagnetic activity actually occurs.
