SUBJ: SWS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 0330 UT ON 05 Jul 2019 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE
On 5 July global geomagnetic activity may reach Active and Minor Storm
levels due to arrival of the corotating interaction region and
high-speed solar wind stream associated with a recurrent
trans-equatorial coronal hole. There is a chance of Aurora sightings
from southernmost Australian regions (Tasmania/South Victoria) should
the increased geomagnetic activity and favourable viewing conditions
eventuate. Aurora alerts will follow if significant geomagnetic
activity actually occurs.
