FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

Effects of a coronal hole are expected to impact the Earth within the
next 24-48 hours. There is a chance of significant geomagnetic
activity and visible auroras for Southernmost Australian regions
(Tasmania, Southern coast of Victoria) during local nighttime hours
should favourable viewing conditions exist, sustained southward Bz and
elevated solar wind speeds eventuate. Aurora alerts will follow if
significant geomagnetic activity actually occurs.
