FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

The solar wind is currently under the influence of a high speed solar
wind stream from a recurrent coronal hole. This may result in
significant geomagnetic activity with the chance of visible auroras
for southernmost Australian regions during local nighttime hours -
should favourable viewing conditions, solar wind speeds remain
elevated and sustained southward Bz conditions eventuate. Aurora
alerts will follow if significant geomagnetic activity actually
occurs.
