SUBJ: SWS AURORA OUTLOOK
ISSUED AT 2341 UT ON 16 Dec 2016 by Space Weather Services
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE
Reoccurrent Coronal Hole 779 produced minor to major geomagnetic storm
periods during previous solar rotations. CH 779 will impact Earth next
week, producing at least minor storm intervals. Auroras may become
visible low on the southern horizon from Tasmania sometime during
19-23 Dec UT. The Moon will no longer be bright in the evening sky.
Further warnings will follow should geomagnetic storms eventuate.
