SUBJ: IPS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 0630 UT ON 27 Aug 2015 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

Bz has been southward for the majority of the UT day resulting in
Active geomagnetic conditions at the time of this notice. A high speed
solar wind stream from a recurrent coronal hole is expected to
influence the solar wind over the next 12-24 hours, resulting in
significant space weather activity and visible auroras during local
nighttime hours. Aurora alerts will follow should favourable space
weather activity eventuate.
