SUBJ: IPS AURORA WATCH
ISSUED AT 2309 UT ON 30 Aug 2013 BY IPS RADIO AND SPACE SERVICES
FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE
A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) has been observed and the edge is
expected to clip the Earth with an estimated arrival time around
0900UT on the 1st of September (7pm AEST). The uncertainty in arrival
time is around +/- 6 hours. This is not expected to be a major event,
however some aurora may be visible from Tasmania (and further south)
in the evening of the 1st of September. Aurora alerts will follow
should favourable space weather activity eventuate.
