Announcement and Call for Papers:
URSI Benelux Forum 2011 Radio Science and Space, ESA/ESTEC Keplerlaan 1,
Noordwijk The Netherlands, 6 June 2011
Objective:
The 17th URSI Benelux Forum (Cross-Border Radio Science) is offering a meeting
opportunity to all European researchers preparing a PhD in the different scient
ific fields covered by URSI (International Union of Radio Science - Union Radio-
Scientifique Internationale). Researchers are also welcome to present advances
in their postdoctoral research. The Forum provides a platform for the different
research programmes in Radio Science.
Key Topics:
- Radio Science and Space Situational Awareness. This includes topics such as
ionosphere and space weather, tracking of space debris and of near-earth objects
by radars (also using radio astronomy receivers).
- Radio astronomy, deep space communications and radio noise
- Microwave remote sensing
Organization:
The Forum will feature invited speakers, convened sessions and a poster session.
All posters are eligible for a best poster award. Poster boards have the
dimension 1.2m (wide) x 1.8 m (high) for B0 posters.
Submission of abstracts:
All potential attendees are invited to submit contributions to be included in
the proceedings. An extended abstract (length 2-3 pages) is requested. The
attached template should be used for preparing the contributions. The contributions
will be evaluated by the Scientific Program Committee and selected one will be
included into the programme.
Submission is required by 29 April 2011.
Extended abstracts should be submitted electronically as high-resolution pdf
files by e-mail to:

Proceedings:
The proceedings of the URSI Forum will consist of a collection of submitted
papers and will be distributed at the Forum to all registered participants.
Final Programme:
The final programme, including titles of sessions and poster presentations, time
schedule and directions to the venue, ESA/ESTEC, will be sent by E-mail. The
Forum is open to an international audience, and will hence have the status of an
international conference. This contact Forum is sponsored by the
Dutch URSI committee.
