Subject: ASSC Important Information - 2 weeks away

The Australian Space Science Conference is only 2 weeks away. We have the
largest gathering of the space science community in the history of ASSC=92s
with 90 delegates already registered. The program is confirmed and boasts
some excellent presenters and space science research. All information
relating to the ASSC can be found at: www.assc.nssa.com.au

As part of the conference program, a combined ASSC and NSSA dinner will
occur. This is a wonderful opportunity to socialise with other delegates in
a relaxed and open atmosphere. Places are limited, so please RSVP as soon
as possible to: dinner at nssa.com.au

Date: Tuesday 25 September 2007
Time: 6pm for 6:30pm start
Location: Vibe Hotel (5 min walk from conference venue)
Dress: Smart casual
Cost: $50/person

The American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) are offering
a $50 discount to all their current members attending the ASSC. If you
would like to take advantage of this offer, please contact the secretariat
at: asscconference at nssa.com.au quoting your AIAA membership number.

We are also running a Forum on the final day of the ASSC which will be
moderated by Daniel Dasey, Science Editor from the Sydney Morning Herald.
Panellists include: Alex Held, Roger Franzen, Miriam Baltuck, Michael
Tobar, Iver Cairns and Wilson da Silva. This forum should encourage some
robust discussion!

There will be two poster sessions as part of the ASSC. These poster
sessions provide an opportunity for further discussion. It will also
include an hour of drinks with nibbles and we encourage everyone to
participate.

A copy of the Program Booklet is also available online. This Booklet
includes a comprehensive list of all invited speakers, presenters, posters
and copies of the abstracts submitted. In addition we have also placed a
shortened overview, which is smaller in size and has the essential ASSC
information.

We look forward to welcoming you to the space science event in Australia.
