Subject: 7th Australian Space Science Conference - Update

The National Committee for Space Science and the National Space Society of
Australia are pleased to announce that the Final Program for the 7th
Australian Space Science Conference (ASSC) will be available tomorrow,
Friday 24 August.

The ASSC is now one month away and early bird registrations close tomorrow.

This year, the Decadal Plan workshop and the AIAA Student Paper Competition
will be held in conjunction with the ASSC on Wednesday 26 September. See
the Final Program for more information on the Decadal Plan workshop.

Confirmed invited speakers on the status of Australian research in various
areas of space science include:
Marc Duldig (Australian Antarctic Division) - space weather 
	and solar and interplanetary science
Peter Dyson (La Trobe U.) - magnetospheric and ionospheric science
Geoff Love (BoM)  atmospheric science and climate change
Miriam Baltuck (CSIRO) - Global Exploration Strategy / Moon-Mars
Christine Charles (ANU) - space propulsion
Carol Oliver (Macquarie U.) - education and outreach
Kirby Ikin (Asia Pacific Aerospace Consultants ) - space business
Marc Norman (ANU) - planetary science
Brett Neilan (UNSW) - astrobiology
Adam Lewis (GA) - remote sensing
Andrew Parfitt (U. South Australia)  spacecraft technology
Alan Roberts - Exercise in space

There will be a special discussion forum with a select panel as well as
early release sputnik coins courtesy of the Perth Mint as ASSC awards.
