Dear Radio Scientist,

I am pleased to announce the following invited speakers at the URSI Commission F Triennium Open Symposium (URSI-F 2004) on Radio Wave Propagation and Remote Sensing, to be be held in Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, during 1-4 June 2004.  See http://www.ursi-f2004.com.

- Prof Yoshio Karawara, University of Electro-Communications, Japan, "MIMO Propagation Channel Modelling"
- Dr Dick Doviak, NOAA, USA, "On the Current Status of Weather Radar Measurements"
- Prof Ramakrishna Janaswamy, University of Massachusetts, USA, "Modelling EM Propagation and Scattering Over Rough Surfaces"
- Prof John Richards, Australian National University, Australia, "Thematic mapping for radar image data"

The call for papers for oral and poster presentations is due on 26 March 2004.  Prospective authors are invited to submit a photo-ready paper of length between 1 and 10 pages. Papers should present original work not submitted or published elsewhere. The paper should explain clearly the content and relevance of the contribution and include conclusions. E-mail submission of papers in PDF is preferred. Alternatively two hardcopies of the paper can be posted.  Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation.
Papers will be peer-reviewed for scientific quality and presentation quality.  Submitted papers will be either accepted, conditionally accepted (subject to revision) or rejected.  Note there is no prior submission of abstracts.  A completed registration form must accompany submission with payment of the early registration fee for the presenting author.
